More off the to-do list!

After being total wedding planning slackers for months, Kosh and I managed to plow through a whole load of to-do's in the last week. First, a few weeks ago we actually mailed those save-the-dates that we created two months ago (see- slackers)!

This week has seen us do many important things, not the least of was: buying plane tickets for the wedding and honeymoon! Just check out the timeline tracker below if you want to know why this was a pressing concern. We've also gotten the language for the formal invitations together. Oh, and we found some pretty dingbats and stuff to make the invites look gorgeous.

We've decided on music for the wedding ceremony and our first dance. I'm not telling anyone- it's a surprise. But it's fun and sweet, and we're really happy with all our song choices!

On Sunday we had BestFriend take our engagement portrait. Oodles of goofy pictures, and two really great proper portraits! Success! I think the monkey faces one will be a 16x20 over the fireplace...

Today we chose wedding rings. At first I was looking at some diamond rings that would echo the setting of my ring, but not only is that *gulp* -really expensive- but it looked like too much bling to me. So I settled on an engraved filigree-esque band. Kosh chose a very manly brushed and shiny stripe band. Oh! And my e-ring is finally getting resized. YAY! No more jewelry elastic wrapped around the band!

It feels really good to have accomplished all this after really practically ignoring our planning for so long!

Next up: hotel for honeymoon, suit for Kosh, mail the invites, readings and vows for the ceremony!
